Work Performed: Design/Build construction project consisted of converting the old Falstaff Brewery into a craft brewery. A. J. Brown reconfigured the historic building to facilitate a new copper seven-barrel brewing system. The system included fermentation tanks & cooling system, steam boiler system, walk-in coolers and brite tanks. In addition to the brew operations area, a retail bar was designed for on-site sale of kegs, growlers and beer by the glass.

Work Performed: A. J. Brown constructed a new 19,000 SF retail center on a small, constricted site with busy roads on two sides. Building on such a tight footprint required special care and advanced planning, as did dealing with the high plastic clay soil. In spite of these obstacles, A. J. Brown completed the load-bearing masonry and steel frame building on time and under budget.

Work Performed: The physicians at The Des Peres Medical Office building requested a Café for their new building. The 1,200 SF project consisted of a coffee bar and sandwich shop located at the main entrance of the already operational building. Space was a premium and construction took place off a busy entrance. A. J. Brown successfully delivered within the four-month construction schedule.
